Sunday 25 September, 10:00am – 12:00pm approx.
Join us for a guided bushwalk alive with Spring wildflowers and a planted native garden. The Solander trail is a stunning example of dry sclerophyll forest with Hawkesbury sandstone soils. Lyrebirds call further down the valley. Our very own native wildflower expert, Ron Gornall will guide us through the flowering trees and shrubs that attract birds such as the New Holland Honey Eater, Wattle birds as well as the Eastern Pygmy Possum that feeds on the nectar of the Banksia flowers. Enjoy the majestic Waratah, fragrant Pink Boronia, flannel flower, Flowering Paperbarks, Banksia, Crimson Bottle Brush and Grass trees on the walk and in the densely forested valleys.
